Privacy Policy
What Coinwave collects when you use it, why, who it's shared with, and the choices you have.
Effective [date]. This policy covers coinwave.gg and the Coinwave app ("Coinwave", "we"), run by [Company legal name], [registered address].
The short version
- We collect what we need to sign you in, run the tools you use and keep your account safe.
- We never ask for your seed phrase, and Coinwave staff will never ask you for a private key.
- Anything you do on a blockchain is public by nature. We can't make it private or take it back.
- We don't sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Sign-in details
- Your email address if you use a magic link; your Discord or Telegram account ID if you sign in with them; the public addresses of wallets you link for two-factor; the public half of any passkey you add. We don't have a password for you because there isn't one.
- Profile
- Your username, display name, picture and anything else you choose to show on your profile.
- Wallets and activity
- The wallets and treasuries you create or import in Coinwave, their balances and transactions, the coins you launch or trade, and the settings, presets and tasks you save.
- Security
- Whether two-factor is on and how, the devices and browsers you're signed in on, roughly where each one is (from its IP address) and when it was last active. You see this list in Settings › Account › Sessions.
- Usage and diagnostics
- Pages and features used, errors and performance data, so we can fix problems. [List any analytics provider here, or remove this line.]
- Referrals
- Who referred you, and who joined with your code.
Wallet keys
[Describe exactly how private keys for wallets made or imported in Coinwave are generated, encrypted, stored and used to sign, and who can access them. Confirm this with engineering before publishing; don't call Coinwave non-custodial unless that is accurate.]
You can export a wallet's key at any time from the app. Anyone who has a key controls that wallet, so keep exported keys to yourself.
How we use it
- To sign you in, check it's you (two-factor) and keep sessions secure.
- To carry out what you ask: creating wallets, sending funds, launching and trading coins, and running the tasks you set up.
- To show you prices, charts, holders and other market data for coins you look at.
- To detect fraud, abuse and attacks on your account or the service.
- To meet legal obligations, such as [sanctions screening or record-keeping requirements that apply].
- To improve Coinwave and tell you about changes that affect you.
Who we share it with
- Blockchains
- Transactions you make are broadcast to public networks, where anyone can see the addresses and amounts involved.
- Service providers
- Companies that host Coinwave, send email, provide RPC access, market data and error reporting, under contracts that limit what they can do with it. [List providers or categories.]
- Launchpads, exchanges and other integrations
- When you launch on a launchpad, route through an exchange or connect an account like X, the details that action needs go to that service, under its own terms and policy.
- Legal and safety
- When the law requires it, or to protect people, Coinwave or the service from harm.
- A change of ownership
- If [Company legal name] is merged or sold, your information may move to the new owner under this policy.
Storage in your browser
Coinwave keeps some settings in your browser's local storage, such as your theme, layout and trade presets, so they stay put between visits. [Describe any cookies or analytics storage, and how to turn them off.]
How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open, and afterwards only as long as we need to for the reasons above or as the law requires. [Set specific retention periods.] Blockchain records can't be deleted by anyone.
Your choices
- Change or remove sign-in methods, and sign out other devices, in Settings › Account.
- Export your wallet keys and data from the app.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account, at [privacy contact email].
- [Add any rights that apply under the laws where you operate, and how to exercise them.]
Children
Coinwave isn't for anyone under [18, or the age of majority where they live]. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
International transfers
[Say where information is stored and processed, and the safeguards used when it moves between countries.]
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
